About the Website Uptime Monitor
We request your URL on a schedule and record what came back: the status code, the response time, and whether it counted as up or down. The point is that the checking continues while you are asleep, so a Sunday-night outage is something you are told about rather than something a customer discovers for you.
How often it checks
The scheduler wakes every 30 seconds and probes whatever is due. Free monitors run at most once an hour; Pro brings the floor down to 60 seconds. The free plan covers three monitors, Pro covers fifty.
Alerts
Give a monitor a webhook URL and we post to it when the site changes state. Slack and Discord incoming webhooks both accept it as-is, so no integration setup is required beyond pasting the URL.
What counts as down?
A request that fails outright, times out, or answers with an error status. Each check is stored, so an incident has a start, an end and a duration rather than just a notification.
Will one slow response trigger an alert?
Response time is recorded on every check and shown in the history, but slowness on its own is not an outage — the alert fires on a change of up/down state.
Can I monitor a page behind a login?
No. We make an ordinary unauthenticated request, so the URL has to be reachable the way any visitor would reach it.
Why is hourly the free floor?
Every monitor is real outbound traffic to your server. Hourly keeps a free account from becoming a load generator pointed at someone's site.
