About the Keyword Rank Checker
Enter a keyword and a domain and we run the search there and then, looking through the top 50 organic results for that domain. You get the position, the exact URL that ranked, and the rest of the page alongside it so you can see who you are up against. Nothing is saved, and no account is needed.
Which search engine answers
Positions come from whichever provider we can reach: Google Custom Search first if a key is configured, then the Brave Search API, then Brave, Bing, DuckDuckGo and Mojeek. The engine that answered is printed next to every result, because presenting a Brave position as a Google one would make the number meaningless. If every engine refuses us at once we say so rather than reporting not ranking — a blocked check and a genuine absence are not the same thing.
Tracking over time
A one-off position is a snapshot. The value is the trend, so tracked keywords are re-checked once a day and build a position history you can read as a chart. The free plan tracks one project of up to five keywords; Pro raises that to 25 projects and 200 keywords.
Why is my position different from what I see in Google?
Your own results are personalised by location, history and account. These are unpersonalised, from the engine named beside the result. Treat the trend as the signal, not the absolute number.
What does “not in the top 50” mean?
We searched 50 results and the domain was not among them. It does not mean the page is unindexed — only that it is deeper than we look.
Does the country selector really change the results?
Only on the keyed providers, which accept a region. When a scraped fallback answers we tell you the result is worldwide instead of quietly labelling it with a country we never asked for.
Do subdomains count?
Yes. A result on blog.example.com counts as a ranking for
example.com.
