Virus ScanHASH
Computes SHA-256 / MD5 / SHA-1 of a file locally in your browser, then opens the hash on every major multi-AV scan service. Files never leave your machine — only the hash does.

Why no in-browser AV?
Modern antivirus engines run as native processes with kernel hooks. A browser tab can't load 70+ commercial scanners or run unpacking on arbitrary executables. What we can do: hash the file privately, and hand that hash to the multi-AV services that already maintain global reputation databases.
If the hash already exists in VirusTotal, you'll see the verdict instantly without uploading. If it's a new file, you can drop it into the VirusTotal UI yourself.
